Working with Premier Chris Minns, we're delivering better hospitals and more health workers to improve health services across Western Sydney.
BETTER HOSPITALS ACROSS WESTERN SYDNEY
We’re getting on with the job of building better hospitals with designs of the new $630 million Fairfield Hospital redevelopment now released.
After 12 years of the LIberal Government neglecting our local health system and attempting to privatise health services and hospitals, we’re getting on with the job of rebuilding a better Fairfield Hospital including an expanded Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Medical Imaging, Operating theatres, and Inpatient wards.
MORE HEALTH WORKERS ACROSS WESTERN SYDNEY
Bricks and mortar are just the first step. We’re making sure we have the health workers needed to run our hospitals. That starts by improving pay and conditions - with the largest pay rise for health workers in over a decade.
In just two years, in our local health district alone we’ve recruited an additional 554 nurses, 188 doctors, 50 paramedics, and 171 allied health professionals.
This comes after the former Government planned to sack 1,100 nurses, despite the growing need for frontline health workers across NSW.
We still have a lot more to do and I’ll keep working to deliver the local health services you deserve.
