Working with Premier Chris Minns, we're delivering better hospitals and more health workers to improve health services across Western Sydney.
BETTER HOSPITALS ACROSS WESTERN SYDNEY
I'm upgrading Fairfield and Westmead Hospital and we've delivered the new Blacktown BreastScreen service.
I'm working with the Federal Government to make healthcare more affordable with a free bulk-billed Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Wentworthville.
MORE HEALTH WORKERS ACROSS WESTERN SYDNEY
Bricks and mortar are just the first step. We’re making sure we have the health workers needed to run our hospitals. That starts by improving pay and conditions - with the largest pay rise for health workers in over a decade.
In just three years, we've recruited an additional 564 nurses, 188 doctors, 171 allied health professionals and 125 paramedics locally.
This comes after the former Government planned to sack 1,100 nurses, despite the growing need for frontline health workers across NSW.
There is more to do, and I’ll keep working to deliver world class health services across Western Sydney.
